Wow, possibly moving to New Orleans, the Mardi Gras country. I will have to wait and see if you did move in the next chapter. You sure keep this suspenseful about your life.

Good one Beth. I can relate to company transfers and moving state to state. My Mary put her foot down and stopped it. I resigned to go in business for myself and the kids were happy.
All about the same time period.
I really enjoy reading your work. It brings back so many good memories.
Thank you.

Thank you Chuck, I always appreciate your reviews because you say they remind you for your own life. I was in favor of moving more than he was, and the children didn't seem to mind that much so I worked out for a whle.

My company moved me 4 time in one year and Mary was tired of it all. Money was great but happiness meant more.
    Well done BETH

Four moves is a little too much.

Well done another good read. Glad of the notification from you. Who knows when Tom would have done it. Surprise, surprise NO spags any where. Keep 'em coming.

I've heard that voice before, but sometimes God doesn't talk in the language you want to hear. So it's requires that developed God sense that develops, Jesus said in John 15, My Sheep hear my voice. So it's comforting to know that He won't misguide us. Beautifully written Beth, blessings Roy
Typo : Your sense of (anventure) adventure?

Thank you Roy. I appreciate the review and the comments. I'm don't think I've ever heard an actual voice but I seem and had some very strange things happen. I have friend who says the voice told her three time that thing would be alright when she was going throug a bad divorce. Thanks for noticing the error.

I heard that voice last 6 years ago, it said ?Find a hole and fill it.? A vacancy came about on the church cleaning team through the sudden death of a member, I?ve been cleaning the church ever since.

I remember you saying that. You think it was the voice of an angel or what? I wonder if non believers think we're making something up.or just imagining it.
reply by royowen on 10-Jul-2020
I don?t know, I guess the credit goes to God, He spoke with Moses, all the prophets, all one needs is the Spirit, He told me 2 churches were closing down...they did, what preachers were going to say before they said, when they were going to resign, why? I?m not sure. But I am sure He guides my pen hand, except silly ones...that must be me.

It's amazing how you just decide to go with the flow and move to a different state. Other people will just stay put and try to work around. That means to have real faith and listen to our Lord's voice.

Thank you so much for the review and nice comments. In spite of my husband saying I didn't have a sense of adventure, I think I had more that he did. I sort of liked doing things out of the ordinary. I would have been more uneasy if he had let the job go and stayed behind.

Once again, I enjoyed reading your memoirs. I am positive the possible move to New Orleans had to be scary. It would have been for me. Thank you for sharing these with us.

Thank you for the review and for your comments. I think the idea was more scary for him than for me. I always wanted the chance to life somewhere more exciting.

It sounds like this was a very unsettling time in your life, everything up in the air. It sounds like the move caused an unexpected turn of events. It'll be interesting to see what they are. Your chapter is very well-written, interesting start to finish. I did find one thing you might want to look at. We'd only lived in our new home a l

Thank you so much for the review and comments. They were a bit unsettling but I was used to things always changing. I think my husband was more concerned about the possibility of moving than I was. I was afraid we would end up moving to the country where there were no stores or restaurant nearby.

Yes, Life can certainly pull the rug out from under you if you don't watch your step. If we knew the future life would not be challenging or interesting. We moved across the country five times before we got it right. LOL Good job, Beth. Nancy:)

Thank you, Nancy. Life was never boring. I guess it is good we don't know what lies in store because if we did we might worry more.

I have always been one who thought about the consequences of any major action I took in life. I have been very cautious. When I did let my guard down it was always disastrous. LOL N:)

Beth, that last line sounds ominous! Again, all those changes in your life, the kids, the moving around, the houses and farming adventures, and now the probable moving to Orleans! I hop things are smoothing out.

Thank you for the review and comments. But you know, life is like a roller-coaster. It has it up and downs. That's the adventure of it. If it was all smooth sailing, it could get boring. I'd rather live in interesting times than in total bliss.

Oh yes, I totally agree. Well, my life was also quite quite adventurous and moving. (it still is)

What a great story that the Lord was speaking to your husband while he was praying over such a hard decision! And you surprised him with such a willing spirit of adventure!

"anventure was different" (adventure)

Thank you for the review and great comments. Yes, if the Lord had gotten through to him, I think he might have made a mistake but he was willing to listen to reason.
