Tangled in Relentless Love

y o u r k i s s e s are sweeter than blackberry wine I drink to quench my desire ~ and I drown in yearning ~
come rest between my breasts I want to bask in your embrace and feel our longing surge entangled in billows of sighs
let us lie on plush verdant grass in the shade of the tree of life overflowing with cherry blossoms and the scent of passion
we’ll watch the gazelles leap over our heaps of ecstasy as cooing doves fly over intoxicating lavender fields
~ tangled in relentless love ~ |
I like the Song of Songs for its poetic value but the meaning varies depending on its source.
-- The lavender flower is one of the most popular aphrodisiac flowers.
-- Plural doe is does or doe
-- The tree of life is a fundamental archetype in many mythological, religious, and philosophical traditions. It is closely related to the concept of the tree of knowledge connecting to heaven and the underworld such as the knowledge of good and evil in Genesis.
The Song of Songs is a Hebrew Bible poem of the 10th-century BCE King of Israel Solomon. From a Christian point of view, the subject of the Song of Songs is love and sexual longing between a man and a woman. Some believe that the Song celebrates the love between God and the Church. The Christian church interprets the Song as evidence of God's love for his people, both collectively and individually. click here if you want to read more
