she bathes

scarlet lips

kiss the blood moon

she hangs cherry pairs

An exercise with the red color.

In Spain, our poppy flowers are red. When I was little, I gathered poppy buds. When you pull the petals down, they look like ballerinas. The buds had many different colors. I never knew what I was going to find. I always have been a loner introvert and I spent most of my days exploring the fields, picking flowers for my mom, and building playhouses of whatever nature had to offer.

SENRYU is a Japanese short unrhymed poem that uses imagistic language to express the essence of a deeply felt moment in time. Unlike Haiku, senryu is about human nature and doesn't need a season word. It's written in 17 syllables OR LESS and three lines. For Senryu you don't need a season word (Kigo).
