I can't make head nor tails from all the names in this chapter. My fault. I suspect it is the medications I am on but wanted you to get the review. Sounds like a busy time.
Well done. Nancy:)

Thank you Nancy. I'm sorry I used so many names. Most of the aren't important to the story. I appreciate the review anyway. My kids brought in many people into our lives who were very temporary.

You still had your hands full, with your kids! Christi must have been quite cute, to have attracted such a steady stream of boyfriends. You and Evan must have gotten a few gray hairs, when she fell for that guy, Steve. Evan had good intuition. And he sounds like he was very funny, getting on the phone with Chris C.'s father, then teasing Connie.
I'm surprised that the couple renting to Don didn't complain, when Kimberly stayed the night. I once lived in a basement apartment where the elderly European couple renting to me were quite intrusive, but I had to make it work for awhile. I'm looking forward to following the outcome of Don and Kimberly's relationship, but I hope it won't be a terrible heartbreak. It's bad enough that he wrecked his car! Again, thank God for His protection of Don, and Connie (even though she got a bump on the head, they got through it okay).

I know your promotion's expired, but I have to keep reading your story! And as long as I was here, I wanted to review it. It's been an uncomfortably busy week, but certain things aren't difficult :-)

Mary Kay you are amazing. You've got so many things going on in your life and I feel terrible when you do all this work for me and don't even get the little bit of member money it pays. I feel so much better about my stories after you have reviewed them but I think it is too much for you. Please take care of your own needs.
    I appreciate you.

Thank you very much for the compliments, dear Beth! And thank you for caring about my life. You will feel better about my latest review, because I caught your promotion on time!
The one thing you can do for me is to remember my mother in your prayers. I am very grateful for any prayers you lift for her. God bless you, my friend!
    Love, Mary Kay xoxo

hello
A good thing no one was hurt in the wreck. It sounds like you certainly had to learn to keep on a going. Wow, so many hindrances.
Stay safe and keep writing.

Seems like life is always filled with never-ending problems. Just when one gets fixed or straightened out, another one takes its place. Thank you for sharing as always, Beth. Smiles to you!

Thank you Carol. Isn't life always like that. It's like a rollercoaster but I think I'm not putting enough of the highs into the mix. We had good time too. Thanks so much for the review.

Beth,

Lots of memories uncovered here. This is well written and I got a smile from this part: "but she seemed to have acquired a guy-friend who she could date from each job. Most of them weren't around long enough for us to catch their names."

Also, "okay kid" and "can you jump me?"

It's always a bad idea to fall in love with a lying married man. Glad that
faded. Did you and Evan sleep much those years?

Anna

Thank you for the review and comments. Evan couldn't sleep with her out late. He worried more I did about Christi than I did. I was concerned about Connie. I was afraid if we came down too hard on her, we might lose her. I was reading a lot of books on how to handle a rebellious teenagers.

Oh, Dear, one problem seems to lead to another. it must have been difficult for you to keep up with what was going on with all of the. I think you both did a great job, and tried to give good advice and at the same time keeping pace with all. I really enjoy reading this. Ulla:)))

Thank you Ulla. I'm so glad you enjoy reading my memories. I guess we did seem to have a lot of problems but I didn't worry too much about it. The negative things seem to stand out. We had some happy times too.
reply by Ulla on 07-Mar-2021
I'm sure you did. But the problems do stand out. That's what happened and it had to be dealt with. Yes, I do love to follow this. :)))

I'm sure glad no one was hurt in the wreck. It's sad what happened to Christie getting her heartbroken the way she did. A hard life lesson for sure. I'm glad Carol and Glen are doing well. l hope Connie stays out of trouble this year. Poor Don sounds like he moved out of one parent's home and into another. Your chapter is well-written, very interesting, I look forward to reading more. I apologize for any mistakes, my cat is trying to help.

Thank you for the review and comments. Christi could turn off her tears pretty quickly and she didn't grieve long. If she'd moved to Florida to go after that guy, I think she would have ended up with a lot more to cry about. Don moved out of that apartment pretty quickly. Apparently that couple was looking for someone to replace their own son.

Dear Beth, I bet you remember more about your daughters romances than they do. it must be because of your optimistic nature that you have managed to live so long with all your faculties. I did want to inquire did you or Evan ever lose your hair, or did it turn white because of the all the worry's those girls gave you back then?

Thank you Suzanne for the review and comments. I probably do remember more than they do. Evan's hair was thinning and backing up. It was salt and pepper gray. It tried to comb it where the bald spots didn't show. According to my hair dresser, I have thick hair that has very little gray for my age. I guess I really don't let a lot bother me.
