One thing is for sure when you have a lot of visitors you get to do a lot of
sightseeing that you normally would not do. I give Carol a lot of credit for her sticking with her marriage. She sounds very wise.
I love the story about the giggle when the lights were turned off. I would have freaked out, as well.
Don seems to be into inventing!

Thank you Mary Kay. As usual, I really appreciate all the help you can give me. You are an expert with punctuation, so I always feel better after you read my work. Unfortunately, you are right about Carol and Glen's marriage going downhill. Since it didn't end well, it would have been better if hadn't lasted nine years. I used to blame Glen for ending it, but after reading Carol's diary, I can see how it wasn't all his problem.

Yes, I see your point; nine years in a failed marriage does seem like a lot -- but no one can say they didn't try. I guess there weren't any children, and since the children seem to always suffer the most, that seems to be best, that they moved on, when they did. Diaries can be very revealing. Yes you are right about that. I imagine a lot of marriages in the Bible were arranged. It is amazing those kind work at all all, but they seem to. Times change and we have to chage with them, but the divorce rate today can't be pleasing to God. In the Bible, we were commanded to love. Now people think it is an emotion that we have no control over.

Thanks for another episode from your Family journals. I feel so sorry for Carol in her marriage. She really did put up with a lot. You all seemed to care for Glen and supported him, too. How fun that you could enjoy treks up to the Smokies and how high tech you were to have a TV set in the van to play games on!

Thank you so much for another great review. I really appreciate. Carol did put up with a lot but she wasn't the perfect wife. She hated him in the beginning and wished she hadn't married him before the honeymoon was over. I feel bad that he never felt loved.

I'm having fun remembering and I expected I would have ended this before now since the children are grown but they seem to want me to keep going.

I am laughing over Helen and the toy that giggled when the lights went out. I remember those toys and they were fun. It sounds like you had fun times in your travels to Tennessee and the area with the variety of animals.
