You sure had your hands full, with your nephew, Jimmy! He does sound like he was very unstable for awhile, until he got himself together. Maybe what he needed was to spend some time taking care of his own mother, or just being with her -- or maybe finding the right person in life made the difference, although one is seldom in a position to do that, until one's head is on straight, first.

we had no way of knowing of the changes which were in store for a couple of members of our family before this year would end. [you never mentioned what year it was, although it may have been 1992, if I remember correctly from the previous chapter]

Yes, Jimmy's mom needed him. Her house had, over the years, become a dangerous place to live. Jimmy fixed it up so that it could be sold.

This is a positive story, Jimmy met the right lady and remained married. I remember the election and how popular Ross Perot was. Your various relatives are interesting people to write about.

Jimmy could not be one of my favorites. Luckily, he found someone to share his life with. Having long-lasting guests is not one of my favorite things. I love visits, but short and sweet, before they begin to smell.
You've kept things interesting in the telling of your story, and I am sure that your children will get a kick out of Jimmy, going from a high-ranking official to a human being.

Thanks for the election year information, too. I remember that one and Sesame Street had a muppet called Ross Parrot. I guess a third candidate can draw away votes. Thank you Carol. I have no idea how you manage to lead such a busy life and be so active on FanStory. I know you have a lot of trauma in your own life. I'm hoping things will soon be better for your granddaughter and your own life will be free of so much stress.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. I'm happy to say Jimmy wasn't our son, but rather a nephew. However there will be divorces in my own family. We didn't have anyone who married six times, however.
