For sure, you had no boring times in your life. Seems I skipped this one by mistake, because your daughter was getting a divorce from Glen. But all the horrendous things that happened in 1993, I remember them now.
Wasn't this close to the Jones disaster in Jonestown where all the people drank poison in kool aid.
It's scary to think that people were attracted to David Koresh and Jones, and had idols besides God.
No fond memories here.

Thank you Marie, Actually the Jonestown thing took place a few years earlier. I mentioned it when I wrote about that year. It is so sad that people are attracted to these leaders who claim to have a message from God and in the end there life is cut short as a result of following them. Thank you for going back and reading this one.

I'm still away for another six days, but I try to get a few reviews done when my family is busy with their regular routines. Not sure if I'll ever get caught up, but I'm trying to continue following novels for now.

It was a tumultuous year, in so many ways. The national and international news was certainly very disturbing, and the family drama continued, but it sounds like the news of Carol's impending divorce shook you and Evan to the core.
Your chapter was very aptly named! This shocking news was a long time coming, but no less disturbing for the buildup, I'm sure. It was clearly devastating for you both and especially for Carol, who was deeply spiritual in her Christian faith. I'm sure it was disturbing for all of your close-knit family -- although some of you lived miles apart and had differing goals and so forth, there's no doubt that you were a close family.

The incident with the Himalayan cat in the apartment complex sounds memorable. I'm wondering whether it caused the girls a problem, because they hadn't paid a pet deposit. Also, I realize that Denny was trying to keep Christi quiet, but threatening to hit her could become a deal breaker. Did their relationship survive that incident (and Tiffany pooping on Denny's stuff)? There is a limit ...

Thank you so much for your help with the editing and your great comments. Actually Christi aggrivates everyone to the extent that people are always threatening to do violence if she doesn't shut up. I think she expects it. I'm surprised that no one has ever actually hurt her. Denny will finally move on but not yet. You are a jewel to mark all these corrections for me.

Thank you Helen, I really apprecaite the recview and comments. Carol paid of most of the many boy toys like camera, guns, boats, motorcycles, ham radio and scuba equipment and also his nursing degree but she didn't want any of it, not the house. She refused to have a lawyer involved. She also took half their debt and paid them off. Tiffany was likely right about Denny. I hope you had or or having a great anniversary trip.

You wrote a series of memories I'm sure would be of great interest to your family. However, this text would have more interest to readers if you took one of those paragraphs, like the divorce, and develop it into a story, using one disaster as background.

Thank you for reading and commenting and making suggestions. I really appreciate it. I do have short stories where I develop these things in more detail. However, since I want my children to have a lot of memories of things they might forget, I have to make the various things into paragraphs so this book won't be so long.
I realize it isn't the ideal format for the occasional reader.

Well done. I believe this is how I will be if my husband goes to Heaven before me. It is easy to imagine this woman talking with her late husband and, dating myself here, but I also remember all of those events that transpired. Curios to know if this one will continue through to present day. I'm not sure about reporting 2020. That one was pretty bad. But a great read here. Thank you for the great work.
