This was a pleasant read, Beth. During this period, other than being busy, and Carol's minor accident, life seemed to be drama-free for your family. I love the beautiful autumn picture. Thanks for sharing another chapter in your life with us.

Thsnk ;you Judy. There are some lulls when things seem to be going a little smoother than other. There are always good day among the others and we try to take advantage of them. I appreciate the review and comments.

i applaud your reasons for recording your life as a married person.Your children will, I'm sure, enjoy the anecdotes and slices of family history reading as if to your husband and not in a forlorn "I remember" format. Your manner of writing is "chatty" and friendly with no sign of repetition. It lifts your efforts from banal to interesting. Intriguing in fact. Well done cheers Cass

I've missed so many chapters in your family story, while I was away from FanStory. I apparently missed little Lauren's birth, and the wedding of Connie and Charlie.

I found a few grammatical errors and such. I also read through your list of family members at the bottom, which is always very helpful:

[What is the Ocoee? I did a search for it, and I learned that it's a city in Florida. I wonder if this is the correct spelling, because I didn't see anything in my search about white-water rapids.]

Thank you so much Mary Kay. I hope you can be back more often. My writing suffers from errors when you aren't around. You know I appreciate you and miss you. You are in my prayers. The Ocoee is a river where white water Olympic were held. I went back and added river. Thanks for all you hellp.

I just love this posting and I just love you for creating this timeless record of a life lived with your husband and family. I would think it would give you comfort to re-live the times when you were together. Many blessings to you and yours.

I did notice one typo in the last sentence of the paragraph about the plane crash. It's missing "was." (I think.)

Thank you, Tara. I really appreciate you reading this. I always said I'd like to live it all again even with the lows as well as the highs. This is my way of doing it. You are correct there was a "was" left out. I'm glad you saw that.

I like the natural easy manner you write, reflect, recall your family. Just reading it puts me there. It was like I was a bystander and wanted to pull your daughter out of the car and cut the airbag with a knife. It was interesting and refreshing for the co-worker to readily admit his mistake and be a gentleman.

Thank you for all the great details and the historical context. How do you remember it all? So thankful that Carol was okay after such a horrible accident!!

Thank you Helen, I was keeping a journal for a little while back then. I don't think I kept it much longer. I appreciate the comments.

You did another great job, Beth, with your memories of 1996.
Your family had some interesting occurrences that year. All-
in-all it seemed like things were going a little better for the
members. There was never a dull day or time to just be you,
though. The wreck sounded awful as did the issue with Connie's
heart. I liked the way you included who and why you voted for
in the POTUS election.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

You either have the greatest memory ever, or you have a diary, have kept impeccable notes, tapes, labeled pictures, or some combination of all. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thank Ric. I did have a journal that I'm checking back with, but I didn't keep it much longer, so you'll soon find my memory is failing. I had no journals for the first hundred chapters but my long term member beats the short term one.

Yes, Beth, I resemble that remark. I can tell you things that happened 60 years ago. But don't ask me about yesterday morning. LOL.

Seems as if your Dad is always having health problems. I loved to hear your preparations for birthdays and Halloween. Interesting to hear about the air bag. That could have suffocated her! I hear you about the holidays. I remember my mother being too tired to enjoy them because of all the prep work she had to do.

Thank you so much for the review. Yes, Dad did have a lot of health problems. I guess some people do at eight-seven. I've heard air bags are dangerous and can injure you badly. She was lucky the guy was willing to stop and acknowledge it was his fault.

Hi Beth, how I love to follow along with your wonderful memoirs. I think I've been following along since the beginning and I'm so glad I have. This is kind of a consolidating chapter before a new year is to begin. I'll be looking out for more. Ulla:)))

Thank you Ulla, Not of lot of stuff was happening at that time. I thought I would finish the year with this one but I still go another chapter to go. Maybe I'll make to 1997 in the next one.
