Your poem sets the perfect eerie mood! I love how the campfire storytelling gives it that classic spooky feel. I felt like I was right there hanging on every word. The poem flows smoothly. I think that adds to the chilling atmosphere. That last line really seals the deal with a haunting warning. This is a great little horror piece!
