A life of loving commitment and companionship inevitably ends. To watch is heart wrenching. To happen is seemingly unfair. Lonesome years can be tortuous and punishing. Solitude can be bitter.
A tear rolls slowly
Wrinkled skin and trembling lips Frail on bended knee She mourns behind lace and silk Their love journey now parted |
